Self-taught artist Ebbe Dahlor has always appreciated the beauty of patterns found in and beyond our world and strives to capture these marvels through her translations of color and shape. Working in multiple 3D and 2D mediums, she has practiced her craft since childhood and hopes to never stop learning.

From the artist:

“Patterns are all around us. From seemingly random cracks through the pavement, wind currents in the fresh snow, formations of clouds, the symmetry of insect wings and leaves, veins, rivers, and landscapes seen from satellite imagery, these patterns recur throughout the natural and man-made world, and can sometimes be modeled mathematically. Early Greek philosophers like Pythagoras, Empedocles and Plato studied and attempted to explain the order they saw in nature. While modern understanding of visible patterns and symmetry have developed gradually over time, the striking beauty of these recurrences and the sense of wonder they invoke still remain.”
